Project 3 Form Exercise 1 Basic Shapes

For Exercise 1 I deviated slightly from the brief and focused on learning more about basic anatomical plans, shapes, central axis and proportions of the human figure. The final pose which is based on the OCA figure drawing supplement is purely an exercise in basic shapes. Using shapes to mark the proportions is very helpful especially in regards to drawing Foreshortening of the figure. I have also place a photocopy of the 8 proportions of the body measured against the size of the head in my sketch book as a support tool for my life drawing class.
